Hot and Fresh: Burberry's Brit Rhythm for Her

“A woman's perfume tells more about her than her handwriting.”

This popular quote about perfume by Christian Dior indeed holds true. And while his brand has been successful in the paradigm of luxury goods, another brand has set to take another leap by expanding its beauty / fragrance line for Women -- Burberry.

Yes, Burberry had just recently launched a new perfume named as Brit Rhythm for Her, which I actually got as a “pasalubong” this week (I know, I'm very lucky. Haha)

It was just launched last month (Hot and Fresh), and I’m not sure if this is already out in the Philippine market (anyone who knows?).

Anyway, here are the things that you should know about this perfume (some of which are the main reasons why I was sooo happy receiving this):

The Brit Rhythm for Her by Burberry is the first women's fragrance the brand has launched since taking their beauty business in-house early last year.

As defined by the brand’s website,

Brit Rhythm is a free-spirited, irreverant fragrance for women.  With this perfume, you get to experience a rush of English lavender, neroli and pink peppercorn. An intoxicating heart of blackberry leaves, orris absolute and orange flower absolute. A deep and sensual baseline of vetiver, musk and vibrant woods.”

To simplify things, Brit Rhythm fragrance (for Her) combines classic notes of lavender and orange blossom with a base of vetiver. The end result is a smoked, powdery floral that's equal parts pretty and punky (well, this is actually the theme of their campaign). Admittedly, I find the scent similar to Anais Perfume (it used to be my mom’s perfume when I was still a kid).

If you still can’t imagine how it smells, note that main accords of this perfume are: woody, aromatic, citrus, musky, and white floral.

Brit Rhythm for Her by Burberry comes in 30, 50 and 90 ml EDT. The 90ml actually costs 90 US Dollars (so that’s around Php 4,000 in Philippines).

The face of this fragrance is the model-cum-actress Suki Waterhouse – who now follows the footsteps of fellow British models Alexa Chung and Cara Delevingne.

For those who don’t know yet, she’s currently the girlfriend of Hollywood bachelor Bradley Cooper (for those who are Bradley Cooper- Jennifer Lawrence fans out there, sorry, but you have to accept this).

This fragrance had been launched by Burberry alongside with their other fashion line --leather jackets, skinny jeans, studded boots and bags -- in which apparently, their key inspiration is rock and roll!

See below campaign video:

So would I recommend this?

Well, if you’re a fan of floral citrus scent (just like me), and raves about leather jackets (haha) then you’d definitely love this!

  1. Haven’t tried any Burberry perfume for women but I’ve smelled scent from the brand, because my husband wears Burberry.
